I'm Brian palmer, drummer and Islay resident. I've appeared at every Islay Jazz Festival since 1999 (excluding the COVID years).

Starting with blues band, 95 proof, I’ve been fortunate to have appeared with Sheena Swanson, Paul Harrison, Mario Caribe, John Rae’s Big Feet, John Saich, Tom Mcniven, Laura Macdonald, Kevin Mackenzie, Otis Grand, Ciara MacTaggart and several other luminaries of scottish jazz. 

I also play snare or bass drum with Islay's community pipe band, and recently featured with the Cantilena Orchestra on timpani.
