Sébastien Giniaux

Sébastien Giniaux

Born in 1981, guitarist, cellist, composer, arranger and painter, Sébastien Giniaux is today one of France's leading performers of jazz guitar, internationally recognised as one of the very best musicians of the gypsy jazz style in particular.

With a string of diverse musical projects under his belt, (Mélodie des Choses, African Variations, etc.), he is also part of numerous other projects such as the trio "New York Tango" by Richard Galliano, or the famous gypsy jazz collective "Selmer # 607".

On the painting side, he exhibits regularly and also paints to illustrate his musical projects or commissions from other musicians.

Sébastien can be found on around thirty records, on guitar and cello, as a performer or composer/arranger, and has performed all over the world alongside musicians such as Youssou N'dour, Taraf de Haidouks, Toumani Diabaté, Yamandu Costa, Didier Lockwood, Biréli Lagrène, Anne Sila, Stochelo Rosenberg and Guillaume Galienne.
