New Jazz Showcase w/ Chun-Wei Kang, Dara Dubh, India Blue
Chun-Wei Kang (drums) is a composer and drummer whose work draws from faith and artistic expression. While he can often be heard spurring many of jazz's emerging figures from behind the drums, his own music is a reflection of his searching for understanding, grace, and praise. His latest project, New Song, is a testament to that pursuit, you can expect music which explores diverse expressions from a quartet of big characters.
Dara Watson (harp) and Harry Higgs (guitar), two talented musicians hailing from different backgrounds, have joined forces to create a truly captivating musical offering. Inspired by their shared love for contemporary, jazz, and folk music, this dynamic duo blends the enchanting sounds of the harp with the soulful melodies of the guitar, resulting in a unique combination that is both mesmerising and unforgettable.
India Blue is a spell-binding songstress inspired by urban rhythms and nature's stillness. India Blue delivers a soulful, rhythmic flow with a balanced yin-yang energy of calm and moody. Her imaginative lyricism takes you on an inspirational journey through healing in darkness and lightness, honouring the power of creation.
