Canvas Sunday - Free Jazz all-day

To celebrate the final day of the Dundee Jazz Festival 2025, we're inviting some new and established faces of the Scottish Jazz Scene to play at our new venue Canvas.

Jazz should be available to everyone, so we're delighted to open the doors to anyone who would like to come. Open all day, with live music from:

Timmy Allan & Norman Wilmore (3-4pm)

then

The Eden Big Band (5-6pm).

Timmy Allan (guitar) & Norman Wilmore (Saxophone)

Two of Scotland's great young jazz musicians, in duo in Dundee for the first time. Award-winning and astounding in equal measure.

Eden Big Band
EBB is Scotland’s newest big band and promises to be an exciting addition to the East of
Scotland jazz scene. Founded in September by saxophonist Hugh Levey and trumpeter
John-Luke Harris, it brings together some of the finest musicians in North East Fife and
surrounding areas, including professional musicians, teachers, and other bandleaders.
The band’s set-list will be varied, including music by Hefti & Nestico (for Count Basie), Stevie
Wonder, Carl Strommen, jazz standards arranged by Adrian Drover … and more …
