Saxophonist Matt Carmichael has been described as a sensational new shooting star of the Scottish Jazz Scene due to his innovative playing and distinctive compositions which tease out melodies from strands of jazz and folk. Pianist Peter Johnstone, a former Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year, has a highly crafted nuance to his playing that, in this concert, will find voice in the sustain and whirl of his electric organ - a contrast from his usual 'desk' of the piano.
