kitti’s Great Caledonian songbook + The Vintage Girls

Dundee Jazz Festival soars in with an absolutely unmissable opening night. Featuring everything you could possibly ask for from the cream of Scotlands female vocalists. From an opening set from Dundee’s own scintillating vocal trio, The Vintage Girls, to the emotive, powerhouse that is kitti, journey through songs you know and love, and hear them sung in fabulous, new, and exciting ways.

Alongside celebrated Fife violinist Seonaid Aitken as Musical Director, kitti puts her soulful, jazz ‘stamp’ on songs that run the gamut from the Scots song tradition through to pop songs by Scottish artists. Featuring everything from Robert Burns and bothy ballads right up to current Scottish artists such as Emeli Sandé, Annie Lennox and Paolo Nutini, this is set to be an exciting evening celebrating Scottish talents both historic and contemporary.

Opening the concert, The Vintage Girls, in stylish three part harmony - with fashion to match - sing carefully curated favourites from The Great American Songbook and more.
