Late & Live in Bruichladdich: A World Premiere Islay Quintet
Bruichladdich Hall is home to countless memories from 26 years of the jazz festival, and Saturday night promises to make more - a transatlantic collaboration from the most exciting names across folk and jazz. In 2023 Norman Wilmore and Corrie Dick took a trip to Wilmore's native Shetland to explore the musical roots & heritage of the island, culminating in the album from the Norman Willmore Quartet 'Alive & Well at Muckle Hall'; a blend of Scandinavian and Appalachian folk music with elements of modal and free jazz.
The pair combine with Fergus McCreadie, James Mackay, and special guest folk American folk sensation Cahalen Morrison to present a night of song, melody, dance and exploration inspired by their different homelands, and the music which has been the heartbeat of Scotland for generations. Not to be missed!
