Zhenya Strigalev
Since graduating from London’s prestigious Royal Academy of Music, Zhenya Striglev (saxophone) has developed an international reputation for his intense, memorable, and unique sound. Described as “a maverick at the heart of modern jazz,” Striglev has cut a dynamic path between the London and New York jazz scenes, appearing at festivals across Europe and South America and collaborating with today's most forward-thinking musicians.
With the creation of his new quartet featuring the much decorated Ivo Neame (piano), Scottish virtuoso Ewan Hastie (double bass), and the outstanding Miami-based Harvel Nakundi (drums), 2025 marks an exciting new turn in Striglev's lively career.
