Ewan Johnston is a 23-year-old pianist, composer and improviser from Fife.

A 2025 RCS Jazz graduate and ‘Rising Star’ nominee at the 2023 Scottish Jazz Awards, he thrives on innovation, emotion and freedom of expression, collaborating far and wide visual artists, dancers, filmmakers and creators of all sorts. He is part of many projects in Glasgow and beyond, including Tao, Bletherin, Terra Kin, Making Nature, Gaïa, Becca Sloan, The Nexus Project, MODERNISTIC, Ewan Johnston Trio, Laura Osa. He has also worked with the likes of corto.alto, Matt Carmichael Quintet, The Grit Orchestra, Anto Pett, GABO, astrosnax, Simon Herberholz Quartet and the list goes on.
