Mike Alex (bass) is one of the most active and acclaimed bassists on the Romanian jazz scene. Born in 1998, he is a long-term collaborator of the Romanian Radio Big Band. He has performed in over 600 concerts in recent years and contributions to eight publicly released albums. His activity includes international tours and collaborations with leading Romanian and international artists. He holds a BA in Jazz Composition from the National University of Music Bucharest and is currently an MA student in Classical Double Bass. He also serves as a mentor within the Romanian Youth Jazz Orchestra, part of Radio Romania. Mike performs regularly at major jazz festivals across Europe and Asia and is a co-author of multiple releases spanning jazz, classical, hip-hop, and electronic music.
