A rising voice on the Glasgow jazz scene, Caitlyn Bogart performs for the first time at the Dundee Jazz Festival alongside guitarist Dave Toule. At 23, Caitlyn brings a mastery of the American Songbook and a rare trans-Atlantic energy to the music.
Originally from Dallas, Caitlyn was trained at the University of Michigan as a vocalist and a composer. She performed at the Detroit Jazz Festival, the Blue Llama Jazz Club in Michigan and in California with Transcendence Theater Company, with praise from Broadway World San Francisco. A multi-instrumentalist on piano, saxophone and accordion as well as vocals, she’s now building her presence across Glasgow and Edinburgh as one of the most exciting young jazz performers currently working in Scotland.
