This year, we wanted to put our support directly into the hands of Dundee’s own musicians. Through our new flagship commission, we gave rising tenor saxophonist and vocalist Kimberley Tessa the funding to write a full set of brand-new music and handpick a band of top local players to bring it to life.

Drawing heavily on her own life experiences, Kimberley brings a deeply personal, fiercely fresh take to modern jazz and neo-soul.

We know how hard it can be for locally based artists to find the space to create on this scale, which is why we are so proud to host this premiere. Be one of the first to hear exactly what she’s been working on in the iconic setting of the Bonar Hall.
