Gil Scott Heron Project
Aki Remally (Guitar) and Fraser Urquhart (Piano) play with a full quartet to pay homage to Gil Scott-Heron. Together they delve deep into the work of the revolutionary poet, jazz musician and rap pioneer whose lyrics expressed views on politics, culture and social injustice – expect a whole lotta of funk, jazz and soul tunes.
Kimberley Tessa Duo, w. Sean Bissett
Kimberley Tessa is the latest in the current rich crop of jazz musicians emerging from Scotland to be stunning audiences across the country.
Voted 'Rising Star' in the 2023 Scottish Jazz Awards, vocalist/saxophonist Kimberley will be showcasing her original music, alongside her favourite jazz standards and more at Canvas on Saturday evening. Inspired by the voices of Ella, Amy and Badu, she brings a cocktail of jazz and RnB influence to her performances.
Nathan Somevi
Fusing jazz classics and soul with a dash of gospel, Nathan draws parallels with the music of Herbie Hancock and Sonny Rollins.
Toby Mottorshead
The Scottish roots troubadour. Steel guitar player, singer, and raconteur Toby Mottershead take a tour of early blues and roots music.
Marianne McGregor Trio
Appearing in a stripped back set, Marianne treats audiences one more time to some of her favourite Jazz and Blues tunes, showcasing why she's regarded as one of the finest voices of her generation.
Pauline Black & Graeme Stephen
Making a welcome return to Aberdeen Jazz Festival, Pauline Black will bring her distinct and heartfelt vocals to AJF26 alongside local guitar hero Graeme Stephen.
Blue Lamp Community Big Band
While the Blue Lamp may not currently be with us, its heart and soul - live, local jazz - lives on with the Blue Lamp Community Big Band, who;ll be gracing the stage at Cowdray Hall for a rip-roaring set of big band classics from across the jazz era.

Mannatee
All studying HND music year 1 at North East Scotland College, Manatee have made this band to add life, improvisation and style to classic jazz and funk. The results are raw, fresh, exciting and will be heard in Aberdeen for years to come.
