Aberdeen Jazz Festival Youth Band are back from half-term, and meet every Thursday from 5:00pm - 6:30 during term-time at Great Western Community Centre (Former Holburn West Church, corner of Ashley Park Drive and Great Western Road). 

So far the group have worked through the sounds and groove of New Orleans, and some classic jazz melodies like Watermelon Man and So What, all taught by ear by our lead tutor Neil Birse. 

The group is working towards a performance at the 2026 Aberdeen Jazz Festival!

There's still loads of time for you or your child to join us, and learn more about jazz and improvisation in this fun and inclusive ensemble.
